Destroyer Pedal Vs. Rock Pedal,
A Rock Band Drum Pedal Comparison

After doing the Value Pedal MKII Vs. Rock Pedal comparison, I got a lot of positive feedback. I've decided to now do a comparison between the Destroyer Pedal (I believe the very first Rock Band drum pedal replacement) and the Rock Pedal. Of course, if you want unbiased, uncensored views and opinions go to google.com or rockband.com/forums and you'll get all you need.

First the price. The Destroyer Pedal is $74.95 + $10 for shipping. Rock Pedal is $74.95 + $13. So, even though we use a super high-quality pedal, and even though we get better reviews, we are just $3 more expensive. Now, $3 sure doesn't seem like a lot (I'm biased, of course) when you have a better pedal, that comes with a better warranty, a better money back guarantee, and better support.

On to the actual pedal. The Destroyer Pedal does not have a solid base, so I'm guessing it's a little wobblier than the Rock Pedal, which does have a solid base for stability. The Destroyer Pedal has a single chain. Rock Pedal has a double chain. Rock Pedal has more adjustments than the Destroyer Pedal. Rock Pedal has a key holder. This means the key needed for the adjustments is always with you. It sounds like a teeny thing, but trust me, it's invaluable when trying NOT to lose your key!!!

Let's talk about the sensor. Rock Pedal's sensor is custom designed and manufactured exclusively for Rock Pedal. Rock Pedal does not use an alarm system sensor. Rock Pedal utilizes a high quality magnetic switch...nothing mechanical to wear down or break. Rock Pedal stands behind their sensor 100%.

Rock Pedal offers a 30-day money back guarantee where you get the full price paid for the pedal and $13 for shipping. So, if you did standard US shipping, you'll get 100% of your money back. Rock Pedal also offers a 12-month warranty with every pedal. For 12-months, Rock Pedal will fix your pedal to your satisfaction or replace it. No exceptions. No fine print. No exceptions. No rules. Just a working Rock Pedal.

The Destroyer Pedal doesn't advertise a guarantee or a warranty on their site. I can't say for sure that they don't offer one, but it's definitely not offered on their website.

Rock Pedal's customer service...well...rocks! Just Google "rock pedal customer service" or go to rockband.com/forums and search "rock band customer service" and see what you find. I really don't expect you to take my word for it. The Destroyer Pedal does not have an phone number on their site. If you need Rock Pedal, you call or email and can expect a reply within two business hours almost always. Rock Pedal is truly committed to Grade-A, unbelievable customer service. Feel free to test us out anytime.

Bottom line: Rock Pedal is just $3 more after shipping. Rock Pedal uses a higher quality pedal that has a steel base, double chain, a key holder, and a customer sensor. Not to mention it is more adjustable. Rock Pedal has an 30-day money back guarantee and a 12-month warranty. Rock Pedal has awesome customer service.
