Getting Back To Factory Settings
First, make sure the practice pad clip is essentially flat. Then watch the top video at www.rockpedal.com/support . After you watch the video, these instructions will probably make more sense.
The setting you need to worry about is the one by the chain of the pedal. There are two there—you want the lower one. Like in the video, hold the black post on the side of the pedal and loosen the bolt on the adjustment we want to make. If your pedal is clanking, you need to adjust the bolt toward the pedal (downward basically). Just a hair—now test it. Is it clanking? You want to keep guessing and checking until there is no clanking. If you go to far, you'll have the pedal stop before triggering the sensor. There is not a precise 1mm spot where this will work (triggers but doesn't clank). It's more of a zone. Once you find the zone, you can then adjust for the perfect spot for your personal tastes and style. If your problem was the opposite, it is not triggering, then you just need to do the opposite.
Don't worry about the pedal height when you are doing this. After you find your zone or spot, just tighten the bolt where it is. Then go to the second adjustment (on the black post where you were holding the pedal still) and loosen that bolt. You can then move the pedal starting height up or down. This doesn't affect the first adjustment at all.
